The type of clients that First Steps Consulting is best suited to are: Size Of Business Anyone from a sole trader who has problems budgeting or managing their cashflow, up to a medium sized business (e.g. $250m turnover, 500 employee business, ASX listed small cap) who may be looking to sign a significant deal with a key customer, require financial modelling to forecast sales of a new product they plan to bring to market, or design a new commission scheme for their sales force. Existing Finance Team Your existing finance team may consist of a part time bookkeeper (for the sole trader) through to a fully functioning finance team with a financial controller, senior accountant, AP, AR, payroll (for the ASX small cap). Often a business will only employ the finance team they require for statutory purposes (e.g. to produce month & year end accounts and tax returns, collect and pay cash and pay employees).
